Pearl Care was a great experience. Everybody was caring and very communicative. I knocked out a filling and they were able to get me in next day and got it all fixed with no discomfort at all. The dental staff and dentists were outstanding.
“Owning the practice where I used to be a patient is a dream come true. It's a joy to carry on the legacy and serve the community by building relationships and helping people achieve better overall health.”
Excited to be back home, Dr. Tina loves serving the community where she was raised. She loves to learn and is committed to continuing her education for the benefit of her patients.
With advanced training in oral surgery, she is able to provide services, such as surgical implants and extractions, under IV sedation. She strives to ensure every patient has an excellent, personalized experience knowing they’ve received the best care possible.
Born and raised in Ellensburg, Dr. Tina's dream was always to settle down here. She attended Ellensburg High School, where she graduated top of her class and received a full scholarship to the University of Washington. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, she went on to attend the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She also completed a one-year Advanced Education in Dental Residency program in Toppenish with the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic. Holding the title of Dental Director, she joined the Northeast Washington Health Programs in Colville Washington, where she managed three clinics for two years.
When she isn’t seeing patients, Dr. Tina enjoys spending family time with her husband, Matt, and their children Mila, Sienna, and Austin. You might see them out for dinner at a new restaurant, boating on the weekends, or traveling to unique places. They love to spend time with family and friends and enjoy their hometown.
“Serving patients by getting down to the bottom of their health issues is my passion. I love seeing a smile on each face when they leave feeling their best.“
Graduating from Loma Linda University magna cum laude, Dr. Kari Chellis began her dental career as a hygienist. She realized her passion for helping patients went beyond hygiene, so she went on to the University of Washington School of Dentistry where she graduated magna cum laude with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Before joining Pearl Care Dental, she lived in Seattle where she owned her own private practice for 25 years.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Kari enjoys spending time with her husband, Henry, and their dog, Frankie. You might catch her cooking a delicious dinner, making beautiful jewelry, or hiking in the mountains.
Dr. Kari received many accolades while attending the University of Washington School of Dentistry including the American Equilibration Society for Excellence in Occlusion & TMJ, the Teledyne Hanau Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics, the International Congress of Oral Implantologist’s Award, the David B. Law Award for Excellence in Pediatrics, the Women’s Association of Women Dentists 1992 Award, and induction to the National Dental Honor Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU).
Continuing her passion for patients, she has recently fallen in love with training in airway and breathing with Dr. Dave Singh. She gets excited to discover and heal the root cause of an issue and watch the patient’s life improve because of it. Along with these passions, she specializes in restorative, preventative, and cosmetic dentistry as well as appliances to treat sleep apnea, veneers, TMD treatment, DNA analysis of periodontal pathogens, Perio Protect trays, and Candid Pro clear aligner therapy (a high-tech airway-focused, newer and better alternative to Invisalign).
“Every patient deserves to feel their absolute best. My goal is to walk with you step by step to get you to your happiest and healthiest self.”
